I'm been really impressed by the progress the Open-GOAL project has made, which aims to reverse engineer the Jak and Daxter games.

There's unfortunately no sound on Linux, which seems to break cutscenes, but it's still possible to explore large parts of the game.

Update: As of version v0.1.5, the Linux version now has sound!

I think it's only a matter of time before this port becomes the best way of playing this game. A nice win for game preservation.

...and I've 100%'ed the game. Safe to say that the project is fairly playable! Only issues I noticed were some weirdly displaying particles in the volcanic crater. Can't wait until Jak 2 is ported.
